Two dj’s, Flic Manning and Diesel Laws formed FIXD in 2005 in Perth, Australia.

Originally, the name Fixd was created by Diesel Laws, his keen interest in graphic arts pushed him to come up with a codename for many of his design projects, while also creating music on the side. A few months later the music took the forefront of his time.

Wanting to further expand on the music, Diesel discussed his direction with fellow music lover Flic Manning and they quickly realised that together, the music they could make, would be something special. With that, Flic joined Fixd.

Both Diesel and Flic had an obvious love for electonic music from the beginning, but they also brought with them, years of experience in multiple fields. This made way for Fixd to begin a journey through musical genres until together they fashioned a sound of their own.

Their sound, can best be described as an Electro-Dance-Hiphop-Drum & Bass-Breakbeat mashup. The majority of their vocals can be heard as stabs, often effected with synthesizers, vocoders and other plug-ins. They will most likely be recognised for the unique riffs and tight composition.
