So we have been inundated with queries as to what the status is with Fixd, so we thought we would just give you the official word.

First up we would like to say, there’s no bad blood, arguments or official split – just a change in direction.

Danny Silver is immersing himself completely into his DJ’ing pursuits. This has lead to a collection of upcoming gigs and new crews to work with. Danny is ultimately passionate about presenting a story on the dance floor using other people’s productions as his medium.

Diesel Laws is continuing his studio work through his own name. His productions have been going from strength to strength with continued interest and support from various worldwide labels. In production, Diesel finds himself in his element and the yearn to create new beats has pulled him away from the decks for this moment.

So overall, Fixd is on hiatus. Rest assured there will be more club goodness from the Fixd boys in the future, but for now, follow us individually -

March 9 will hail the first official release for Fixd in 2010. Through the fabulous Mizumo Music will come Chauvin McIntosh’s ravey, fidgety, slice of electro, “Vibe”, and the release will feature the Chunky Remix by none other than us – Fixd!

The “Vibe” pack will also contain remixes from the likes of Frost-Raven, Kerrie Nation, Klangstruktur Ost, and Dunno – so much dancefloor punishing talent on one release!

Mizumo Music is a San Francisco based label, specialising in “Funky, Filtered, Quality, House”. A special mention must also go to DJ Denise for being one of our initial contacts with Mizumo and definitely going beyond the call of duty to get the Fixd sound on board for the Vibe release.

The relationship between Mizumo Music and Fixd has been healthy and ongoing since 2009, and we certainly look forward to doing more remixing for them in the future, as well as perhaps sliding an original release or two through their very professional and impeccably tasteful hands!

Get Chauvin McIntosh’s “Vibe”, including the Fixd Chunky Remix, from Beatport as of March 9 2010, and annoy your neighbours with it – We know your backside won’t be able to stay still to this one!

Circuit Breaker 1 was a critically acclaimed success and has seen featured artists play Good Vibrations and Future Music Festival, tour the UK, and be signed with the likes of Elite Force, General Midi, and Rennie Pilgrem.

Lightsounds are an Australian based dance music and sound equipment company, and their Circuit Breaker series features only Australian dance and hip hop artists. Big ups go to these guys for pushing the green and gold grooves to the world!
